high data memory

Post by chuck »

Hello,

I have a 7200. no load or vm's running and the data memory is at 92%. my other 3par is at 40%. I rebooted the nodes. and then they slowly creep back up to 92% by end of day. working with hp and no resolution so far.

anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

thanks

There is nothing wrong. This is perfectly normal.
the data memory is your cache, the 3PAR is designed to keep the cache filled as much as possible, such that it can serve as much IO it can from cache.

So nothing to worry about 8-)
The goal is to achieve the best results by following the clients wishes. If they want to have a house build upside down standing on its chimney, it's up to you to figure out how do it, while still making it usable.
