So basically I have two Primera A630's that are in HA (active/Active) - using primarily vmware as hosts.
It all runs on 32gb FC - super fast.. Awesome.
because of the more recent vmware stuff we are now being told we may need to consider other options which only support iscsi.
so I'm wondering if we can configure the 2-X72210Gbe (on each controller)- 10gbe built in card to be used as ISCSI for our dev stuff.
If we go full hog with moving our production in the future we'd get extra cards.
But I want to know if we can use the built in card with the basic license we have and use 2 out of the 4 10gbe ports for iscsi? (and yes I acknowledge that I think they are labeled as RCIP, for replication over IP) But I'd love to be able to use them for iscsi
And/or the Q is if I were to get the ISCSI cards.. could I run both ISCSI and FC at the same time?

primera A630 -FC & ISCSI?
Re: primera A630 -FC & ISCSI?
RCIP ports (onboard) can’t be used for host traffic
If you add a set of iSCSI HBAs, you can use both FC and iSCSI at the same time, but not on the same volumes at the same time. So you need dedicated volumes for your iSCSI hosts.
