3par 8400
3par 8400
I am running a 3par 8400 with 13 cages at home as part of a home lab. It all works great. Wondering if anyone had any tips on how I can reduce some of the power usage (ie lower the wattage) of this unit. I dont mind about reducing performance/speed given this is a home lab. I checked the settings and dont seem to find anything that would help lower power?
Re: 3par 8400
I think the easy answer is reduce the number of cages (and drives)
The drives will always spin, so idle power consumption of the drives in 13 cages will be substantial anyway you look at it.
