Hi All,

I have two 3par boxes in my DC

3 PAR Name:
Primary site-----------------------------------Secondary site
3PAR01 3PAR02

My database is running on 3PAR01 and there is synchronous replication from 3PAR01 to 3PAR02.

I am trying to take the backup from 3PAR02 so for that I will export the VV which are present on 3PAR02 to media agent (backup server to take the backup)
As per my knowledge we can export the read-only copy to secondary site (that is from 3par02) and present to backup server to take the backup. My primary will be in sync with seconday site eventhough backup is happening at secondary side.

Is my assuption correct?

What you would want to do here is snap the replication target so you get a point in time copy, export and back up the snapshot, then tear down the snap
