Hi.

I have a new 3par 7200 machine, and am trying to change the default password for 3paradm.
I found that the new password is limitted to eight characters and I was not able to put a longer one.

Is there a way to provide longer password?

No and I have escalated this to HP, not a very secure system with 8 character password.

Did you ever get anywhere with your escalation?

This is supposed to be changed in 3.1.3 or 3.2 coming out later this year.

Is that documented anywhere or do you have a source on that?
