how to connect 3par & windows via SAS
Re: how to connect 3par & windows via SAS
Not possible.
Only ways to connect to a 3PAR system is FC or iSCSI depending on HBAs installed in the system.

As mentioned, a 3PAR "system" does not support SAS connection. You would want an MSA storage array for that.
Now if your playing around with decommissioned hardware, you *might* be able to use a expansion drive enclosure from a 3par system connected by SAS. I have never done this, and cant offer much help here.

You would be hitting road blocks pretty fast due to the 520 bytes cluster size used by disks in enterprise storage arrays.

sg3-utils will probably solve that You do need a SAS controller that supports HBA mode so you can poke individual disks.
I've done it to a number of disks to make them work on my scavenged Dell R610 server.
