Does the E200 and F400 use the same drives? To my knowledge they are the same with E200 / F200 / F400???
I shipped my customer a good 1TB Drive and they said that theyy could not use it because it was not formated correctly?

Hi,
A F-Class drive should work in E-Class and visa versa.
The 1TB drives for E- and F-Class have the same HP partnumbers
* 640816-001 for the EOL Seagate ST31000340NS
* 649984-001 for the EOL HITACHI HUA722010ZLA330
* 677190-001 for the new SEGLE0600GBFC15K (ST3600057FC)
According to the 3PAR FRU Database, both Seagate drives are compatible with E- and F-Class,
though a InFormOS / 3PAR OS patch might be required for the newer Seagate disk.
The Hitachi drive is NOT compatible with E-Class systems.
Are you sure that you have send your customer a genuine HP part with any of the any part-
numbers for a Seagate disk ?

FRU-DB is for HP and partners only.
Call HP 3PAR Support if you need to know which patches need to be installed to support
